Please Note:
Bear in mind that our office number will only be manned during office hours from 8:00–17:00 and weekends from 08:00–16:00. If you phone and there is no answer, its not because we are not available, it is either because the line is down… again, or you are phoning after hours.

Cancellation Policy
Please note, by paying your deposit, you accept the Terms and Conditions of Matroosberg Private Nature Reserve as well as the terms of this Cancellation Policy.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be received in writing.
30-60 days: 25% cancellation fees will be levied on reservations.
15-29 days: 50% cancellation fees will be levied on reservations.
0-14 days: 100% cancellation fees will be levied on reservations
10% Handling Fee on all refunds charged.
Easter weekend, 1 June – 31 August and
December – January holidays:
90-120 days: 25% cancellation fees will be levied on reservations
0-90 days: 100% cancellation fees will be levied on reservations
Non arrivals are subject to the full accommodation fee.
10% Handling Fee on all refunds charged.
Packing for Your Trip
The altitude and mountain climate often cause a sudden drop in temperature, so come prepared with extra warm clothing.
Essential items for your trip includes:
- Binoculars
- Extra warm clothing
- Hat
- Camera
- Field guide book (fauna & flora)
- No open fires in mountain
- Skottelbraai does not work in winter in the mountain
During snow time:
- Sunglasses & Sunblock
- Dry clothes & shoes
- Wellingtons (gumboots) & gloves
